Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY:

To assist FXU during the Fresher’s period.
-
To work closely with the Elected Officers and the FXU Team during this time.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
To be a friendly face and positive advert for FXU
-
To staff the desk on welcome days and to assist with operations at the Freshers’ Fayre
-
Support Freshers’ activities
-
General promotion of FXU activity.
GENERAL DUTIES:
-
To work shifts between the hours of 8am and 8pm on move in days, helping FXU staff to welcome new students
-
To work from 7pm until 2am on FestiFAL night, signposting new students to venues and acting as social facilitators. (Duties to be confirmed)

To help set up for Freshers’ Fayre the day before and on the day itself, as well as clearing up at the end of the event

To help pack Welcome Bags ready for move in

There may also be further opportunities that FXU need help with.
DATES REQUIRED:
Move in dates: 11th to 13th September
Festifal night: 16th September
Main Freshers’ Events: 14th, 16th, 19th September
Freshers’ Fayre: 19th September 3-6pm (set up), 20th September 10am-12pm and 4pm-7pm
Bag packing: From Monday 24th August to Thursday 10th September.
We understand that you may be unable to make all of the specified dates, so please let us know with your application and we should be able to make exceptions for some days.

To be eligible for these positions you should have some or all of the following qualities and experiences:

Previous experience or interaction with FXU

Show a general knowledge of FXU and the services we provide

Above all be a friendly and approachable person.
