Hall Reps update

The team's achievements this term.

Hall Reps – this term’s four achievements!

  1. Students in Glasney Parc asked for more social spaces.
Meeting with Oliver Lane has resulted in plans to buy more outdoor benches. There are also plans for an inter-flat bench painting competition and BBQ social in March.
  2. Students requested that posters for FXU and Stannary events should be put up around The Sidings, Tuke House and Wellington Terrace.
These locations have been noted and Hall Reps have volunteered to receive any printed posters from FXU and put them up in the relevant places.
  3. It is noted that as the Student Community Housing Reps represent a huge cohort of students, it may be difficult for individuals to get in touch with them.
Hall Rep Drop Boxes will be introduced in the Compass and outside Falmouth Library in January, where students can leave questions, suggestions or concerns.
  4. First year students are concerned about finding private accommodation for next year.
FXU will be producing a housing booklet containing practical advice for moving in and recommend that students use Student Pad to find houses for the time being.
