Become an Exeter Student Mentor

UEPC are looking for a team of volunteers to welcome the new student group of 2015-16.

Remember your first few weeks at uni? Most of the time exciting, but sometimes daunting, confusing or even a little bit scary?

We’re looking for a team of volunteers from all departments on campus to welcome the new student group of 2015-16.

Our new students really value having someone to turn to, to help them find out how things work here. As a Student Mentor you’ll welcome new first year students to Cornwall, by getting in touch before they arrive, meeting up during move-in weekend, and helping them to settle in to campus life during the first term.

Our Student Mentors say that they gain valuable experience by volunteering as a Student Mentor, and a sense of pride and achievement in sharing the best bits of their university experience with others. By sharing your experiences you’ll improve your confidence, communication, leadership skills, and enhance your CV. We’ll provide you with training to ensure you have the confidence to support new students and help them to have the best university experience possible.

If you’d like to have the opportunity to welcome our next group of students, please email mentoringcornwall@exeter.ac.uk for further information.
