FXU President roles

Nominations are now open for the FXU President Elections 2017/18. There are four FXU President roles available which are full time paid positions with a salary of over £19k per year. Any student registered with Falmouth University or University of Exeter Cornwall Campuses (UECC) can stand for election with FXU. You don't need to have any experience of being involved with FXU previously.

Complete these simple steps to nominate yourself for an FXU President role:

1. Download the election pack and nomination form for full details

2. Complete an online nomination form by clicking on the 'Stand in Election' link below (log into the FXU website to view this link).

 Alternately you could hand in a paper nomination form to the FXU office at Penryn or Falmouth campus.

Why should I get involved?

Being an FXU President is a challenging & rewarding role and is held in high regard by students and staff. As well as being involved in key decisions on & off campus that affect students, this is a fun and exciting role that will develop the following skills:

  • Problem Solving

  • Project management

  • Teamwork

FXU Executive Officers:

Our team of Executive Officers lead on projects that impact the students experience on campus, in the local community and on a national level. All FXU Officer roles are voluntary and are designed to fit in alongside your studies.

FXU Student Reps:

Every course and every year group has a ‘Student Rep’, who represents the students on their course by getting feedback, signposting, advising students on academic-related issues, attending meetings to put forward the students’ point of view and feeding back to their peers any academic related news or items for discussion.

NUS Conferences:

FXU aims to send delegates to all relevant NUS conferences including:

  • NUS Black Students' Conference
  • NUS LGBT+ Conference
  • NUS International Students' Conference
  • NUS Womens' Confrence
  • NUS National Conference

Priority for NUS conferences is given to members of the FXU Leadership Team, however if you would like to represent FXU at an NUS Conference please send in your request, outlining in less than 300 words  why you would be best pleaced to represent FXU to studentvoiceteam@fxu.org.uk
