FXU's Sports and Societies Managers have confirmed the recipients of this year's Special Awards. The nominations received this year were of unprecedented quality and truly highlighted the superb standard our clubs and societies are managing to achieve.
This award scheme complements the already successful FXU Club & Society Accreditation Scheme by providing additional recognition for clubs and societies that are showing outstanding practice in specific fields. Some clubs and societies who are achieving the highest standard of accreditation may welcome the extra challenge to achieve these special awards, others may not be achieving the highest level of accreditation but should be recognised for their outstanding contribution and work in one of the following areas:
Each award has its own criteria and requires societies and clubs who wish to achieve them to apply to an awarding panel which reviews the supporting evidence submitted by the club or society and awards the FXU Special Award accordingly.
These awards can be applied for and awarded at any point within the academic year and are valid for one year before they will need to be reapplied for.
This year, for the first time. all clubs/societies who submit successful applications for two or more Special Awards were entered into a draw for a chance to win £100 to put towards enhancing their membership experience.
