FXU President Exeter
Hello and welcome.
My name is Dean Pomeroy and I am the FXU President Exeter and a 2017 Flexible Combined Honours graduate, with a BA in English, History and Politics. My job is to represent Cornwall students to the University of Exeter, and I particularly focus on making sure you get the amazing academic experience you would expect.
This year, I will be working on improving module options and availability, increasing course collaborations between Colleges and with Falmouth University, promoting student projects through national outlets such as conferences, and loads of other things. Part of my job is to keep my ear to the ground and make sure I am being truly representative, which means ensuring that each student has a chance to be heard by the University.
We at FXU want you to take advantage of the brilliant learning environment here in Cornwall, so we work to make sure you can see improvements to your experience. Whether that is through our awesome student rep system or just by coming in for a chat, I will take forward your comments and work with the university, letting them know what’s going great and what needs improving.
This year is set to be super busy but full of exciting stuff. Come and join us at FXU to get the most out of it, and if you have any problems, please don't hesitate to get in touch - come see me in the FXU office, drop me an email, message me on Facebook or tweet me!
