FXU has joined the Stonewall Rainbow Laces campaign to tackle homophobia in sport!

The campaign, launched last year, involves wearing rainbow laces in your footwear whilst you participate in sporting activity to demonstrate that we do not tolerate homophobia. FXU ordered 100 pairs of laces and members of our clubs and societies picked up all the pairs in under 24 hours!

Photos have now started to come in of the laces in use, such as the images here from the sailing club and the expedition club preparing to wear them as they take on the 3 Peaks Challenge this weekend. If you picked up a pair, remember to share your pictures through the FXU Sport & Recreation Facebook and Twitter pages and contribute towards your club/society’s accreditation whilst spreading the message.

Let’s kick homophobia out of sport!
