FXU's dodgeball team, The Falmouth Falcons, recently organised a tournament in aid of Coppafeel!

On 4 December, five teams competed over the course of the afternoon, with the last man standing winning the grand prize of a dodgeball signed by the England Lions Dodgeball team. Other prizes donated by local businesses included vouchers from Dominos, Harbour Lights, Sharp’s Brewery and cinema tickets.

The team raised a total of £108.65 for Coppafeel!, a charity which aims to increase awareness of the signs of breast cancer in young people.

Ryan Borley, President of the Falmouth Falcons: “The tournament was a great success; it was a great way to get more people involved and interested in the sport. Dodgeball is one of the fastest growing sports across the world, with the first World Cup held this year in Manchester and England Men’s taking home gold and Women’s silver. There was some great talent on show and we want to help continue the rapid development of the sport. The boob balls and costumes from Coppafeel!, and all the prizes donated from local businesses, helped to make it an amazing afternoon, full of smiles and laughter. Being able to raise money for such a great cause at the same time made the effort put in to organise it so much more worthwhile. We can’t wait for the next one!”
