Sports Scholarship Scheme 2008/09

FXU to be running the Sports Scholarship Scheme for a second year. 

Sports Scholarships are available for students of outstanding sporting ability who show evidence of achievement or potential at a high level. They are only offered to current UCF or UECC students. There is no support offered through the Sports Scholarship Scheme to help finance course, tuition or international fees. FXU will make every effort to accommodate your training and performance needs however, no dispensation is offered from the normal course requirements in terms of assessment, progression or final degree classification.

As this is only the second year FXU has run the scheme Scholarships will be awarded for one year and the scheme will be reviewed at the end of the academic year.

Awards

Each application will be considered on an individual basis. The award will be dependent on the needs of the individual and the particular sport they are taking part in.

Who Can Apply?

Performers from any sport recognised by FXU will be considered. Every scholar must be a registered student at either University College Falmouth (including Dartington) or University of Exeter Cornwall Campus (including CSM).

Scholarship Benefits

The following are benefits that Scholars accepted onto the scheme might be eligible for:

• Subsidised travel to competitions
• Subsidised gym membership at Tremough Sports Centre
• Subsidised physiotherapy
• Subsidised entry fees to events
• Subsidised sports equipment and clothing

There is a £5000 fund for UCF students and a £5000 fund for UECC students which will run along side each other.

How do you apply?

Complete a Scholarship 2008/09 Application Form to be considered for the scheme. Once the application has been considered successful candidates will be assigned a level of award and notified of the next steps.
