Should FXU campaign against unethical investment by our Universities?
All current UCF and UECC students could vote, however votes only count towards own institution due to some companies being specific to either university. A formal debate took place on Wed 2 March 1pm-2pm on Tremough Campus to give students a chance to take part/hear both sides of the argument:

50 UECC students voted Yes. 7 UECC students voted No. 1 UECC student voted to abstain. 58 UECC students voted in total.
25 UCF students voted Yes. 2 UECC students voted No. 0 UCF students voted to abstain. 27 UCF students voted in total.
As quorum (the minimum number of students required to make a decision stand) was not reached for neither UECC students nor UCF students, the results are inconclusive and therefore, FXU will take no action on this.

The FXU Referendum 'Future of FXU - You Decide' was a referendum for students to vote on a number of options to make up key elements of FXU's governance structure. These key elements, divided into 3 questions, would form the basis of a new constitution for FXU. This was part of the final stage of FXU's Governance Review in preparation for FXU registering with the Charity Commission due to changes in Charity Law that came into force in 2010. Due to this referendum affecting the structure of FXU, a two-thirds majority was needed for a decision to take place.
Students voted for
Question 1: 3 equal presidents (62%; 154 students voted);
Question 2: Presidents + up to 4 Exec Officers + up to 2 Exeternal Trustees + up to 2 Student Trustees (66%; 151 students voted);
Question 3: Student Council + Union General Meetings (termly) + Referenda (67%; 152 students voted).

The results for questions 2 and 3 mean will stand for FXU. As the result for question 1 wsa 4% short of a two-thirds majority, but was still the most popular answer by 26%, it is a recommendation for FXU along with all other research to have this structure.
Each of these key elements, decided by students, have been included as the basis of a new constitution for FXU. The constitution was proposed at this year's FXU Annual General Meeting, however due to there not being the minimum number required (75), the decision to approve/reject falls to the FXU Student Council. The Student Council meeting next have a meeting on 9 March 2011.

300 students voted Yes. 33 students voted No. 0 students abstained.
Therefore, FXU joined the mass demo on 10th Nov 2010 and is mandated to continue to campaign against the government's education cuts.

FXU Referenda
The FXU Referendum 'We will march 10.11.10 or will we?' was a referendum to see if there was student support for FXU to campaign against the government's education cuts, beginning with taking part in a mass demonstration on 10.11.10 in London along with thousands of other students from across the UK as organised by NUS. A formal debate took place on Tremough campus, prior to the referendum, on Thu 28 Oct 12pm-1pm. A simple majority was needed for this decision.
