Places to Go, Eat & Drink

Wetherspoons ‘The Packet’
The Moor
A Wetherspoon is always a popular meeting place, cheap drinks, a good place to start the evening.

Shades
4 Quay Hill
A bar and club, popular with students as it’s cheap to get in and plays a diverse range of music.

Mango Tango
Market Street – the centre of town
This place looks great – downstairs it’s a café/bar, upstairs it’s a club.
The bar downstairs opens 7 days a week, 12 noon till late. Food served between 12 – 3pm and 6 – 9pm. The evening starts at 10pm upstairs, with different entertainment every night, including salsa dancing! An establishment that’s friendly to students.

The Boathouse
Beacon Street
A small, friendly traditional pub; nice because of its really mixed clientele.

Club I
St. George’s Arcade
Classic clubbing, student friendly.
Toast
18 Church Street
An independant bar and cafe with a late licence in the centre of Falmouth.  Food served between 6 - 9:30pm.  Fair Trade coffee sold and emphasis on local suppliers.

Eight Bar
8 Webber Street
Late night bar; if you like cocktails this looks like the place to go, Taylor from FXU says they do “the nicest cocktails on earth”. It looks very cool as well.

The Shed
Discovery Quay
A modern restaurant and bar; nice reasonably priced food and cocktails.

Pizza Express
Like Wetherspoon, it’s always nice to have a Pizza Express nearby. This one is at Discovery Quay the ‘modern trendy’ bit down by the sea.

Rick Stein’s Fish & Chips
Discovery Quay
Restaurant and oyster bar. Fish and chips fine dining style ie: nice but expensive!

Falmouth also has 4 bathing beachesSwanpool beach, Gyllyngvase beach, Tunnel beach and Castle beach.
