Flex Newspaper is the official print media outlet for students who want to make their voice heard, whether that be in a professional sense, displaying their course work, or in any other sense, from features on foreign affairs to reviews of books and films.
Flex has been running since September 2009, which saw the first ever print, since then the staff has swelled to an amazing 130 members from all courses at the university, from Design, to Journalism, to the Sciences, and we are hopeful for the future. We are a completely student-run newspaper with no obligations to the union or the university - meaning as much as possible we enjoy a free press without fear of reaction if we take a critical stance. This is very important to us here as we want to represent the student body fully and campaign for the rights of a people who we feel otherwise would be incredibly disenfranchised.
