FXU Sports Scholarship Scheme 2011/12
Sports Scholarships are available for students of outstanding sporting ability who show evidence of achievement at a high level. They are only offered to current UCF or UECC students. There is no support offered through the Sports Scholarship Scheme to help finance course, tuition or international fees. FXU will make every effort to accommodate your training and performance needs however, no dispensation is offered from the normal course requirements in terms of assessment, progression or final degree classification.
Scholarships will be awarded on a year to year basis and the scheme is reviewed at the end of each academic year.
Each application will be considered on an individual basis using the scheme above as a guide taking into consideration the individual and the particular sport they are taking part in.
The funding can be used towards legitimate costs incurred to train or compete in your chosen sport, including the following;

SILVER

Students competing for a team which competes at a higher level than an FXU club are eligible for this level of funding. In addition students who represent FXU, but who can demonstrate that they have performed at a higher level and have chosen to represent FXU can be considered for this level of funding.
BRONZE
£150.00

• Travel to competitions
• Physiotherapy

Responsibilities of an FXU Sports Scholar
FXU require a list of all competitions/event that you intend to participate in during the year . Reports may be requested by FXU (with images if possible) after events/competitions. These report may be used to promote your successes and those of the campus.
Complete a Scholarship 2011/12 application form to be considered for the scheme and send it to sports@fxu.org.uk or to the postal address; FAO Hanna Royle, FXU Sport, Tremough Campus, Treliever Road, Penryn. TR10 9EZ.
Once the application has been considered successful candidates will be assigned a level of award and notified of the next steps. Receipts or proof of purchase will need to be presented to claim the funds.
