Stithians is also a fantastic location to learn a new watersports such as canoeing or rowing. The centre offers fully qualified instructors for tuition in the activities available, along with equipment hire and self launch facilities. If you have ever got bored of swimming up and down the lanes of the swimming pool waterpolo could be the sport for you. Every thursday in Truro a combination of players from St Austell ASA and Newquay get together to practice waterpolo skills and have mini-matches. We train in a mixed group, with very a wide range of abilities so there is space fo you whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned pro. Sessions are at Truro High School, Thursday 8-930 (with a drink in the pub after for those that want to). If you are keen we will do our best to help arrange lifts.
