ACADEMIC ISSUES
Studying at University doesn’t always work out as you might expect and some students find themselves with academic problems. Some students experience difficulties with their course or tutor, personal issues that hinder their ability to attend lessons or produce coursework or have a multitude of other reasons why they feel they are falling behind on their studies.
You may want to consider withdrawing, transferring or taking time out of your course. If this is the case it is always helpful to seek help or guidance before you commit to making a particular decision, often you may not be aware of all the implications there may be that could effect your finances and every your ability to return to University at a later date.
FXU Student Advisers are available to talk through any problems you may be having and give you the information you need to make an informed choices. We can also help if your academic work is suffering due to circumstances beyond your control; we can advise you on mitigating circumstances and if necessary can advise you on how to make an academic appeal. Don’t forget you can also talk to your Sabbatical Officers.
You may need some help with your academic skills such as time management, essay writing, dyslexia or plagiarism. The University has all sorts of support for you. Have a look at the ASK website for more information.
